RABAK Dahlia Eco-cultural Homestay

RABAK Dahlia is the dream of two sisters Dahlia and the late Gloria Dom to share their Bidayuh culture with the world. RABAK in Bidayuh language means flat land like a plain. RABAK is also the acronym of Relax At a Bidayuh Authentic Kupuo (village).

According to the Bidayuh beliefs, the flat landscape at RABAK Dahlia is an ideal area for building a house or village. In line with Gloria and Dahlia ideas of a promoting sustainable living, the buildings at RABAK Dahlia are built following the original land form and environment with materials sourced from the surrounding jungle.

RABAK Dahlia offers an eco-cultural stay where you can take some time out from your busy city lives to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and experience the daily lifestyle of the indigenous Bidayuh community.

RABAK Dahlia grow their own vegetables and fruit for their guest's consumption. Guests will also have the opportunity to taste authentic Bidayuh cuisines.

RABAK Dahlia was initially set up as a center for the local community to come together for events. A longhouse called Gloria's Dream was built for this purpose. There is also a need to help the local people to improve their lives through seminars and skills training.

Hence at RABAK Dahlia guests or visitors who would like to contribute to  make a difference to the local villager's lives are most welcome.
